What is in the Arts of the Great War Collection?

This is a collection of World War I posters, prints, photographs, pictorial images, object d’art pieces, original art and ephemera. Every piece in the collection is museum quality has been professionally archived and cataloged.

Since 1997, Dr. Bruce Hunter has been building the collection, which includes more than 8,600 items ranging from James Montgomery Flagg’s original 1917 “I Want You” poster to over one hundred beautifully hand-carved artillery shells known as ‘trench art’. The nearly 700 World War I era posters in the collection represent every aspect of the war and the majority have been restored, linen-backed and framed using museum glass.
